Perky Stain Remover Review

The world of Green Cleaners has come along way, about 10 years ago I worked as a House Cleaner. One of my clients insisted on using  her own cleaners because she refused to use anything that was not safe for the environment and her family. 10 years ago you were lucky to find a natural plant based cleaner that honestly killed the bacteria and helped make your toilet or surface actually clean. Most Green products just made the surface look clean and or smell nice, but they did not get the deep down dirt and they where a fortune to purchase.

Thankfully, 10 years later we have access to thousands of company’s who are looking for ways to be Green, creating a demand for Eco-Products that worked. so now using a plant based cleaner that works is not going to break you pocket book.

The Perky Stain Remover Plus is a Green Cleaner that really did snag my set in stains.  Groom Industries the maker of Perky has some other great Green Products as well but what interested me about Perky was, that it, “gets rid of sour milk smell”. Having 2 boys my couch as taken a beating, and so I thought, “okay I have to try this.” I tested Perky on the back side of the couch for color fastness as directed. Once, I saw I had nothing to worry I got to work, letting the stain remover set in for 2 minutes and then using a white non died towel to blot off the grime and dirt.

HOLY SMOKES, I am ashamed to tell you that there was much worse than a simple stain or smell. My couch was covered in filth and I was literally pulling it onto my rag. I did not take a picture of this and I realize now I should have because I went from a white rag to a tan rag. Now that the spot has been dry for a few days the smell is clean and stink free!

I also have a beautiful runner that has got quite a few stains on it as well. Again, I tested Perky on the runner and then used the brush to get the deep in grime. Honestly, I thought, “there is NO way this little puny brush is going to do anything” but I was wrong. It’s the perfect mix of gentle and scrub you need on carpets to get the dirt without destroying your rug!

Now mind you the picture below shows a stain that was over 5 years old, it’s not completely gone but darn close! Plus the carpet was dingy and you can see the color improvement. Now I have a super clean spot time to remedy that.
