During the craziness of Mommy-hood, we forget that our precious little ones are watching closely, learning from our behavior. Oh yeah, I get nuts, overwhelmed and downright emotional sometimes, BUT if I don’t watch when and how I let my feelings out I will end up teaching our children my bad habits without even trying. Sure, no one is perfect, some bad habits will be learned just because. However, it would be wise to not give them unnecessary ammo.
In addition, they learn our positive attributes as well. Time to encourage our children to go out and do good. After years of saying, thinking I was going to; I took my oldest, and we volunteered at our local rescue (BIG DOG RANCH RESCUE) . He enjoyed himself so much he did not want to leave and cannot not wait to return! Hallelujah, I can teach him good things too! I am excited to be able to volunteer with him and watch him learn to give!
What do you hope your children will learn from you, after your long gone? What will their impact be beyond themselves? Do you volunteer with your children, have you thought about it?
