When I was asked to do a wine review I was elated because I absolutely love wines! Miscatto’s Reds, Pinot’s, Chard’s, Champagnes, Mead, Homemade Wine, Specialty Wine you name it I love it. Typically, I stay away from the bitter stuff unless I am eating something that pairs well with it. You get the picture I love wine!
About the wines: In November, Diageo Chateau & Estate Wines announced a new wine brand called Butterfly Kiss™. The wine celebrates taking time to embrace moments of well-deserved ‘me’ time. For women who are juggling work, family and chores, the holiday season makes it even more challenging to fit in time for themselves. Butterfly Kiss encourages women to take a moment to unwind and enjoy time with friends and family.
Butterfly Kiss wines feature four lively, bright varietals:
- PINOT GRIGIO – a delicate, light wine showing kisses of citrus and ripe pear.
- PINK PINOT GRIGIO – a rosé-styled wine showing lively flavors of strawberry shortcake and bright citrus.
- CHARDONNAY – features lush, tropical fruit flavors, kissed by a touch of vanilla.
- MOSCATO – a lovely, well-balanced sweet white wine loaded with stone fruit and citrus.

My Review:
Allow me first to introduce you to Butterfly Kiss, I tried this wine in two flavors a 2011 Pink Pinot and a 2010 Chardonnay.
Let’s start with the Chardonnay, for me this wine had a slight lemon smell and had a backside hint of tart after you swallowed. At 13.5% You can enjoy a glass happily.
As for the Pink Pinot, I was really happy with it as well! It was sweet, light, softer than a regular Pinot, not bitter and was overall a great drinking wine at 13%. The pinot would have paired well with fish, or even dessert.
Now, we get to Rose’N’ Blum and I also got to try two flavors in this wine as well! A 2011 Pink Moscatto and 2011 Pinot.
The Moscatto smelled very sweet as a Moscatto should but was not overbearing. It was very fruity, sweet and left an overall sweet aftertaste that made you desire more! This wine is dangerously delicious and is the perfect dessert, drinking wine at 10.5%.
The Pinot was not very aromatic, and dryer than the Butterfly Pink Pinot. It had a slight bite to it but would make a great dinner wine paired with a fish, poultry or light pasta dish. The Pinot left a sweet pleasant aftertaste that invited another sip. At. 12.5% you can pleasantly relax with this glass of wine!
Overall these wines were fabulous the bottles were incredibly tasty. These are perfect for a girls night, or a casual get together and would make any table come together. Of course I have my favorite, but I would enjoy them all again!
